Say hello to Niles and Daphne. In November, they were found around Silver Spring Metro Station along with their two siblings.
Thankfully, one of our clients' managed to catch them and bring all four to us for care. Even though their two other siblings had no congenital defect, these two are both missing part of their back right leg. Still, they get along just fine and do not seem to mind it at all.
While here, they recieved the following:
- FVRCP vaccine
- Rabies vaccine
- FELV/FIV/HW test, which revealed negative results.
- Microchips placed
- Pre-surgical bloodwork
- Spay/Neuter
Since they were found outside, they were not trusting of humans. However, here at the Animal Place, our entire staff has worked hard to give them love, affection, and nurturing care. Now they are more socialized and open to human interaction, but still need alittle more time, patience, love and attention.
Starting Feburary 2010, they will be staying with Janie McCutchen (another client), who works closely with an animal rescue. For more information on their status and adoption information please call her at (301)942-0334.
